12:00 (dit Midnight) est le troisième mini album de LOONA. Il est sorti le 19 octobre 2020 avec pour titre phare Why Not?.

Le 14 septembre 2020, le comeback est annoncé.[1] Le 17 septembre, le premier teaser pour ce comeback sort.[2] Le lendemain, l'agence annonce que HaSeul ne participera pas à ce comeback car elle souffre d'anxiété. Elle n'avait pas pu participer aux promotions de # pour les mêmes raisons.[3]

Lee Sooman, le fondateur de la SM Entertainment, a été le producteur de l'album.[4] C'est la deuxième fois qu'il participe à un projet en dehors de son agence. Le premier projet était le mini-album précédent de LOONA, #.[5]
