Le 13 juin 2013, Jin débute en tant que membre de BTS, avec le single 2 Cool 4 Skool.
2022: Début solo avec "The Astronaut"[]
Le 19 octobre, il est annoncé que Jin fera ses débuts solo avec le single The Astronaut le 28 octobre.

Il est diplomé de l'Université Konkuk le 22 février 2017.[1]
Santé[]
Le 25 décembre 2021, BigHit Music annonce que Jin et RM ont été diagnostiqué le COVID-19.[2] Le 4 janvier 2022, BigHit Music a informé que les deux membres avait complètement guéri et que leurs quarantaines avaient pris fin.[3]
Le 19 mars 2022, BigHit Music annonce que Jin s'est cassé l'index gauche et a subi une opération la veille pour son tendon. Selon l'agence, l'opération s'est bien passée.[4]
Service militaire[]
Le 17 octobre 2022, BigHit a annoncé que Jin s'enrôlerait dans l'armée.[5] Le 24 novembre, il est annoncé que Jin commencerait son service militaire.[6][7]
Son service militaire prend fin le 12 juin 2024.[8]
